We wet-render low and slow to gently draw out impurities and finish with a dry render to remove water. Then blend it straight into the cream. Not flooded with cacao or fragrance to cover a rushed render. What you smell is the tallow done right, not a cover-up.

Will it make my skin photosensitive?

Citrus essential oils can be phototoxic when applied before sun exposure. We recommend applying Sweet Citrus in the evening or on areas not exposed to direct sun.

Is it suitable for oily skin?

Yes. Sweet Citrus is one of our lighter-feeling creams and is suitable for normal to oily skin types. Start with a small amount and see how your skin responds.

Does it smell strongly of citrus?

It has a pleasant, light citrus scent. The lemon and lime are balanced with organic vanilla underneath, so it's not sharp or overpowering. Fresh, not intense.

Can I use it on my face?

Yes, it's designed for face and body.

Are the citrus oils certified organic?

Yes. Both the lemon and lime essential oils are certified organic.

I've been using synthetic moisturisers for years. What should I expect switching over?

Your skin may take 1 to 2 weeks to adjust as it rebalances without synthetic ingredients. Start with a small amount and apply to clean skin. Some people experience a brief adjustment period, after which their skin settles into a more stable state.
