Bare Tallow Cream
Why Bare?
Why thousands of people and families choose the Bare Tallow Cream over other expensive tallow creams.
Slow-rendered, not masked
We wet-render low and slow to gently draw out impurities and finish with a dry render to remove water. Then blend it straight into the cream. Not flooded with cacao or fragrance to cover a rushed render. What you smell is the tallow done right, not a cover-up.
Clean, no compromise
Sourced from cattle never fed Bovaer, mRNA or synthetic additives or homones. No parabens, no synthetic fragrance, no long ingredient lists you can't pronounce. What's on the label is what's in the jar.
Silky, never rushed
We take the time most brands skip; blending slowly until the texture is right, not just until it's ready to jar. The result is a cream that's smooth and silky, never greasy, never gritty.
Transparency is key
No hidden ingredient lists, no vague "natural" claims. You'll always know exactly what's in the jar, where it came from, and why it's there, because you shouldn't have to trust a label blindly.

Straight FAQs
If you've got questions; we've got answers. Hopefully this covers everything you need to know about our Bare Tallow Cream. If there isn't something covered here, please reach out by emailing or contacting us on our socials and we'll get it answered right away!
Won't tallow feel greasy on my skin?
This is the most common concern and it makes sense. Most heavy creams and oils do leave a greasy film. Tallow is different because its fatty acid profile closely mirrors what your skin already produces naturally. A little goes a long way. Warm a small amount between your fingertips before applying and it absorbs without the residue you'd expect.
Does it smell like beef?
Our tallow is carefully rendered and purified, which removes virtually all of the meaty scent. Bare Tallow Cream has a very mild, neutral smell. Some people notice a faint natural scent initially that fades quickly once it absorbs. If you're sensitive to smell, it's worth knowing it's there but it's nothing like what you might be imagining. Also, our jojoba oil is unrefined so you will usually get that scent come through which is quite nutty.
I have oily or acne-prone skin. Is this going to make it worse?
It feels counterintuitive but applying oil to oily skin can actually help. When skin is stripped of moisture by harsh cleansers and synthetic products, it overproduces oil to compensate. Because tallow mimics your skin's natural sebum, it may help settle that cycle. We always recommend a patch test first if you're unsure.
Will it clog my pores?
Tallow is not the pore clogger it's sometimes made out to be. Its composition is so close to human sebum that it absorbs rather than sits on top of skin. As with anything, individual skin varies. Patch test first and give it a couple of weeks before making a judgement.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, and many of our customers use it exclusively on their face. Start with less than you think you need. A pea-sized amount is enough for most people. Apply to slightly damp skin for the best result.
Is it safe for kids and babies?
Yes. Two ingredients, both as natural as it gets. Grass-fed tallow and certified organic jojoba. No fragrance, no synthetics, nothing that shouldn't be near sensitive or young skin. Always patch test first.
I've been using synthetic moisturisers for years. What should I expect switching over?
Some people notice an adjustment period of one to two weeks as their skin recalibrates. It's been used to ingredients doing the work for it. Stick with it. Most people find their skin settles quickly and needs less product over time, not more.
Built by a family,
with families in mind.
We make things that work and last, because we built this with our own family in mind. Clean, honest ingredients. If we wouldn't put it on our kids, we wouldn't put it in the jar.
